2 CONT The nine of children of Sion JACKSON (bc.1774/1795-After1850) and Susan BROWN (bc.1793-Befor
2 CONC e 1850) are listed in the following order in Moroni Brown's 1891 Record Book:  Eliza (bc.1819
2 CONC -?); Homer (bc.1821-?); James (1823-1893); Davison or Dridon (bc.1825-?); Susan (bc.1827-?)
2 CONC ; Noah (bc.1831-?); Newton (bc.1833-?); Sion (bc.1835-?); and Hebern (bc.1841-?).  There are
2 CONC , however, two more females listed on the 1840 Federal Census for Davidson County, North Caro
2 CONC lina.  One in the 10-15 year range, and the other in the under 5 year range.  We have liste
2 CONC d them as __ Jackson (bc. 1829-?) and __ Jackson (bc. 1737-?).  Therefore, Susan and Sion ha
2 CONC d at least 11 children.

2 CONT Estimated Birth and Marriage Dates:

2 CONC iage dates are estimated based on the known birth day of their son, James JACKSON (1823-1893
2 CONC , which is 23 April 1823.  The standard genealogy birth-to-marriage assumptions (of 25 year
2 CONC s for men, and 21 years for women), and the standard two-year assumption between unknown birt
2 CONC h years are used.

2 CONT All of these children were likely born in the same area in Rowan County, North Carolina, whic
2 CONC h was made into Davidson County in 1822.  Thus, the birth place of their children after 182
